Cacao ceremony

“Traditionally Cacao is food for the Gods”

Raw Cacao guides you on the path from your mind to your heart. Working with this gift of the Earth asks for a ceremonial setting as to honor the god or goddess within us and to express our gratitude for this wonderful Medicine. Opening a Sacred Space to enjoy the beneficial effects of this bittersweet drink also invites many Spirits. In a Cacao ceremony, we work with Sound and Silence and occasionally shared Dance, Drumming and Singing.

Before booking your spot make sure to verify what type of ceremony you’re signing up for. Group ceremonies often work with a dedicated theme.

How to set-up your altar?

“An altar anchors you in this world and connects you to the universe”

Setting-up an altar is a great way to support your ritual. It also might offer you the opportunity to keep a Portal open for a prolonged period of time. Perhaps you like to dedicate a tiny corner to this purpose or maybe there’s a specific reason to build one. Building an altar is a very intuitive process in which you can use any objects or symbols you like or that mean something to you. Your intention is the driving force and once you get familiar with the ingredients, possibilities are infinite.

Ritual or Ceremony?

“What’s in a name?”

I love the zen-vibe this beautiful bird is sending out, carrying one of a thousands stones from one place to another. It happens to be a Buddhist exercise, but I’m pretty sure the bird hasn’t given his actions a second thought.

My mind is hungry to name the difference between ritual and ceremony, maybe yours too. Yet I’ve found it’s my gut deciding which term I use over the other. Sometimes this is in agreement with a more generally accepted difference, sometimes it’s not.

I’m okay with that.

Your very own ritual

“No moment is too short for your very own ritual”

Creating your own rituals leads you to an endless potential of options to express your gratitude, let go of what no longer serves you, spread your blessings or ask for support to manifest your ideas and longings. Opening and holding space for yourself to perform rituals requires preparation and practice. Asking someone to guide you through may be a good choice, and learning how to do it by yourself just as well.

In the Learning & Reading section you’ll find a booklet to guide you through the entire process.

Or else, I’m very happy to either teach you or co-create your ritual with you.
