MenstruArte & Sacred Geometry
When I first started painting with my menstrual blood I never thought of creating a series, or making reprints of my art. But 4 years later here we are! I’ve created a set of 4 cards and an artzine as part of the series: MenstruArte.
Three of the paintings in the MenstruArte set of 4 cards are based on a pattern of Sacred Geometry, and got titled: yin, yang and star center. Painting Sacred Geometry is something I only discovered later on in the process of painting with my moon blood. It offered me some insights which I explain in more detail in my MenstruZine.
The fourth painting of the card set is a more organically grown mandala-like painting that I titled: egg cell sun. Together they form a beautiful set of 4 cards which could be used as a guide throughout a woman’s menstrual cycle.

MenstruArte Expo (Belgium)
Another thing I never considered at the beginning even the slightest bit was to show my paintings in an exhibition. But fast forward to 2025 when I joined a group of friends whom I met in a shamanic retreat for setting up our very own EXPO Sjamanenkunst (exhibition of shamanic art) in Belgium.
The theme of this exhibition is “From darkness to a new beginning, stepping into the unknown…“.
And that is exactly what the entire journey of creating with my moon blood was! Over and over again I literally went from Darkness (womb) to a New beginning (blanc paper) stepping into the Unknown to discover what would unfold…
So, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to show a big selection of the original paintings and to start selling my MenstruZine and the set of 4 cards.
Dear friends and followers, please feel welcome to come celebrate with me and my shaman friends. Together we are putting together a beautiful show with art, poems and shamanic objects all made from the heart and meant to make our souls sing and light up in the darkness.
